Bunnahabhain is Gaelic and means "estuary". It refers to the Margadale River where the distillery is located and which supplies the pure spring water for the Bunnahabhain 12 Years Single Malt. This clear water for malting the barley, which is traditionally dried over the peat fire and distilled according to traditional distillation methods, makes the Bunnahabhain 12 Years Single Malt a uniquely gentle taste experience.
The Bunnahabhain 12 Years Single Malt has a light, fresh aroma with a hint of sea air and a hint of smoke. The taste is sweetish, with nuts combined with some peat. The finish is very refreshing and fruity. The Bunnahabhain 12 Years Single Malt is not cold filtered and is bottled with a strong 46.3% vol. This provides sufficient reserves for dilution with still water.
Origin: Scotland / Alc. 46% / Vol. 70cl.
