The distillery Macardo from the canton of Thurgau lanches a rum of premium quality: The Macardo Señor Rum. Sugar cane molasses from India and Nicaragua are used for the production. The Indian is floral, flowery and fresh, the Nicaraguan earthy, leathery and powerful. The fermentation of each molasses is done by special yeast. The distillation is done over a wood fire in small batches. The rum is then stored for several years in used whisky casks. Macardo Señor Rum is produced without any addition of sugar, caramel syrup, colourings or aromas.
On the nose, Macardo Señor Rum appears elegant and spicy with noticeable vanilla notes. On the palate it convinces with a long finish and very mild, fruity aromas. A full-bodied premium rum with a character all its own.
