The special feature of the Seven Seals Port Wood Finish Whisky is its short maturation time, which is made possible by a new process. This has the goal that the wood releases its aromas faster to the distillate, whereby it is to be emphasized that only mechanical influences such as pressure or heat are used. The Seven Seals Port Wood Finish Whisky is then refined in a wine barrel. Thanks to this innovation, the Seven Seals Port Wood Finish Whisky is said to have the same quality as 18-year-old single malts after three years of storage.
The Seven Seals Single Malt with Port Wood Finish convinces on the palate with aromas of dried fruits (raisins), sweet honey, gingerbread, spices and roasted nuts. This is well and truly joined by a hint of peat smoke.
The Seven Seals Port Wood Finish Whisky can be enjoyed neat or in cocktails.
