Tequila Calle 23 Anejo was created by Sophie Decobecq, one of the few female tequileras in Mexico. Sophie studied biochemistry and at a young age she was interested in the production of tequila. Finally she emigrated to Mexico and turned her passion into her profession.
The Tequila Calle 23 Anejo comes from Zapotlanejo in the eastern highlands of the agave growing area in the highlands of Jalisco. The special soil in this region is home to particularly fruity and sweet agave. Such agaves are used for the production of the unique Tequila Calle 23 Anejo.
In the nose, Tequila Calle 23 Anejo has a scent of cooked agave, as well as a slight aroma of nut, caramel and delicate vanilla. On the palate it tastes of freshly ground coffee, tonka beans and fine tobacco. Light roasted notes round off the overall picture.
